How long have you worked for Bulls and Bears now?
I’ve just hit my 1 month mark
What experience do you have in the food/restaurant industry?
I’ve been in the industry for 20 years now. I started at your average burger joint and I’ve worked in sub shops. When I moved back to the area I worked under some great chefs at Hempen Hiill. After leaving Hempen Hill, I ventured out onto my own which was a huge learning process that allowed me to take chances on different dishes. From there I went to the Broad Axe and helped to create their current menu as well as learned from some great guys there about cooking. Most recently I was working for Jay at 28 South.
What do you think you bring to Bulls and Bears?
Hopefully I bring excitement and wisdom to Bulls and Bears. I have gained a lot of knowledge for all areas of the restaurant not just the kitchen. My goal is to keep everyone lifted and in a good mood. My Moto is Good Mood – Good Food.
What menu additions are you most excited about?
The Fajita Salad and the vegan options. I learned that there is a huge vegan demographic out there and we will have some great options available for them. For example, our new Fajita Salads will be available with Vegan friendly meats.
What do you want people to know about Bulls and Bears?
It’s changing and things are improving. If you haven’t eaten here lately, make sure you stop out and see what changes we’ve made.
What’s your favorite part of Downtown Hagerstown?
I love the buildings and the workers down here, it really has that big city feel. It’s nice to have so many positive people making an impact on Hagerstown.
